I don’t really have a beauty routine. I have four children and value my sleep, so am not willing to get up extra early to make myself beautiful. The only people who usually see me throughout the day are my kids and husband. And then I don’t want to worry about getting all the makeup off my face before getting in bed each night.
My husband has always said he likes a more natural look, so that is what I go for when I occasionally do my makeup.
This was my makeup collection a week ago:
I didn’t have much. Most makeup costs more then I’m willing to spend when I use it so rarely.
I’d get up each morning, eat, brush teeth, brush hair, and head out to take kids to school. No need for makeup. Then I was offered $30 to use while shopping online at eyelipsface.com. Yes! I would love to update my makeup for the times when I do like to use it!
I visited the site and was seriously amazed at how inexpensive their products were! Most of the things I bought were between $1-3! I can certainly afford to buy makeup for occassional use at that price. I ended up with 14 new products for $30, including zit zapper to test on myself.
You can see all of the fun I had shopping by checking out my Google Album.
On days when I do want to add a little makeup to my routine, I will style my hair, then apply only the following makeup:
Concealer – Being in my 30’s, I still breakout and look like a hormonal teenager.
Powder or Foundation – I still cannot find the right way to apply this without all of my tiny hairs showing. My face never looks smooth. (If you have any tips let me know!)
Mascara – I have not been blessed with long beautiful lashes, so mascara is a must.
Blush – I like to add a little color to my cheeks.
Lip Gloss – I love lip gloss!
And that is it. I can’t do eyeshadow or liner because it always seems to bother my eyes and make them feel tired. Here is the finished look:
I am certainly not a professional at all and would love to hear your tips!
