Yesterday was my youngest child’s 2nd birthday.
It’s hard to believe she is already two.
Let me tell you, watching a two year old open a present is magical. Her emotions were not forged to spare the feelings of the gift-giver. We have been getting the clutter out of our house and decided to not have a big party, and since she was only 2 we got her one present.
And yet…
Her emotions clearly showed. She was so grateful for the one gift she was given.
She may not have gotten a lot, but she showed me the definition of grateful while opening her one present.
I only hope that I can be more like her… truly grateful for the things I have, even though it may not be much.
