This is our 5th weekly wrap-up of summer fun ideas with kids. This summer is flying by!
Monday – For ‘Make It Monday’ we spray painted vases using a tutorial found on Pinterest. They didn’t come out as well as I had hoped. I’ll just call it another Pinterest Fail. But they look okay.

Tuesday – ‘Trip Tuesday’ didn’t happen again since miscellaneous children were at friends houses.
Wednesday – On ‘What’s Cooking Wednesday’ we made apple slices dipped in chocolate. This must have been a fail week, because these didn’t turn out perfect either. The chocolate kept dripping off and never really did get hard. But they still tasted good.

Friday – For ‘Fun Friday’ we visited a few places around Indianapolis. We started out by visiting Ft. Harrison State Park. It was 105 degrees out, so we didn’t stay very long. Instead we took a quick look at the Warfare Museum and Visitor’s Center at the park.

I’ve been wanting to see one of the free Spray Parks in Indianapolis. We found Grassy Creek Park about a half hour from Ft. Harrison State Park. The kids enjoyed it for a little, but it was still too hot out.

On the way back home, we stopped at Circle Center Mall parking garage and walked to the Soldier’s Statue in the middle of the circle.

It was a very hot climb, but we took the stairs to the top of the tower and were able to look out on Indianapolis. The kids loved it! We got lucky and caught the elevator on the way down.

What wonderful ideas! Love them all, thanks for sharing them!
