Red Baron – Better Than Delivery

Pizza is seriously a staple in this house.

If I don’t feel like cooking, I just throw in a pizza.  No one objects. Ever.

Our usual is Tombstone, but we decided to try something different.  Maybe we should be pizza connoisseurs.  We tried the whole wine thing and it just doesn’t work for us.  So, we picked up one of these:

And put it in the oven.  I believe it took maybe 15-20 minutes to cook.  We rarely use our big stove and instead use a larger toaster oven.  It fit perfectly and cooked nicely.

The Finished Pizza…

Let me tell you, that picture just has my mouth watering.  It looks lovely and delicious!  So, how did it taste you ask?  The crust was nice and flaky, exactly the way I love it.  Not too thick or too thin, just crusty and flaky and yum!  I also loved the mixture of cheeses.  I’m a big cheese lover and this blend of cheeses just hit the spot and went well together.  As you can see from the picture above, the pizza was very cheesy, which I also love!

The only drawback for me was too much sauce.  The sauce had a great taste, but there was way too much of it for me.  I like all of my pizza to be light on the sauce.

But it was definately worth the price, especially compared to ordering out.  Below you can view a new online video series from Red Baron and Howie Mandel that pits delivery pizza and Red Baron  head-to-head to show Americans which pan pizza option is the “Real Deal” when it comes to quality, taste and convenience.   Pretty interesting and true when it comes to all three.
