My Little Me – Poem by William Lyons Cashman VI

My Little Me

In my arms, you soundly sleep.
My little one, My everything.
Those almond eyes, and puffy cheeks.
You’re beautiful, my little me.

In my arms, so peacefully,
You sail throughout your graceful dreams.
And as I wait, so patiently,
I watch until you wake to me.

The world is waiting for you dear,
With waking eyes, you see I’m here.
Holding you, I’m always near,
To make you smile and dry your tears.

With heaven watching all we do,
I pray that they won’t take me soon.
But if my time to leave proves true,
Just remember that I love you…
