It’s been weighing on me how much we take life and those most important to us for granted. I can’t even imagine what some of the people in Japan must be going through right now. We go through day after day just getting through each day. Some days we may feel like life is boring, we may wish our children would just give us a minute of free time, we may argue with our loved ones and not tell them how special they are to us. We think every day is just another day, the same as it always is. Then it happens, in this case an earthquake. These peoples lives have been turned upside down. They are homeless, worried about radiation, injured, looking for loved ones or even trapped themselves. Thousands of lives have stopped completely. They will never have another boring day or have the opportunity to argue with their spouse or wish their kids would give them a moment of peace.
Imagine for a minute something like the same happening right now where you are. In an instant, everything changes. Life is short and one day it will be your turn. Unfortunately all our lives end at some point. Don’t let it upset you, instead let it push you to truly live everyday, every moment like it’s your last. Make it count. Let your loved ones know you love them and make some quality time for your children. We only get one life and no one can know when that life will end. Make it a happy and fulfilling one.
