You wouldn’t believe how easy it is to misplace your child!

Just the other day at Kroger, our family almost had an incident. My husband took off down one aisle to look for something while I was at the back of the store by the meat. At the last minute, my four year old took off running after him. I saw that she had found him, so I moved forward a bit. Before I got too far, she came back to get her cart (they have kiddie carts at our local Kroger). She then went back to her dad (I assumed) with her cart.

Five minutes later, he found me and asked where she was. We both thought she had gone back to the other when she wasn’t with either of us. Luckily, it didn’t take too long for him to find her, pushing her cart through the front of the store, looking for us.

It’s just scary how easy and quickly accidents and assumptions like that can happen. And before you realize it, you have a missing child!
