Keep Your Family Healthy During Cold & Flu Season with Lysol!!

Holidays are a great time to pick up all kinds of pesky germs.  My husband always teases that he never gets sick until we visit one of our families over the holiday season. It’s hard to keep from getting sick when there are a bajillion kids running around sneezing and coughing.

Since we can’t (and don’t want to) stay home all season and miss all of the parties, we need to take preventative measures to keep ourselves and our kids healthy and happy.  Lysol’s Flu-Free program is making protecting your family a little easier this season.

Lysol is offering a free expert live chat with Dr. Laura Jana next Thursday, Nov. 17th @ 2pm CST/3pm EST. The title/chat topic: Expert Advice for Keeping your Family Healthy During Cold & Flu Season

In addition to the chat, they are looking to promote the Great American Flu Shot Challenge mentioned below.

Lysol presents Staying Flu-Free can be as easy as 1-2-3, with these 3 tips:

  1. Get a flu shot (as the CDC recommends)
  2. Wash your hands with soap and water. Scrub thoroughly for 20 seconds
  3. Routinely clean and disinfect surfaces

Since Lysol understands that vaccination is the first step for protection against the flu, they are offering a $5 rebate towards your flu shot. Furthermore, they’ve created the Great American Flu Shot Challenge that could reward you for helping to spread awareness of the importance of getting a flu shot. It is easy to create a flu-free network with your Facebook friends. Just share the Flu Fighter Badge listed under the ‘Flu Shot Challenge’ tab on the Lysol Facebook page and $5 flu shot rebate info to join the challenge and remind your digital friends and family that it’s that time to get their yearly flu shot. The person with the most friends in their flu-free network by Dec. 5th could win a $1,500 grand prize.

My husband is the only one who didn’t get a vaccination this year, so he isn’t allowed to complain if he gets sick. :)

I asked a crazy question, but I need an answer.
I have a question about the flu and other viruses, my brother(OCD)lol, uses the gigantic bottle of Lysol spray when ever someone in the house gets sick, he fumigates himself in it and pretty much everyone in the house, he thinks by darn near showering in it, that it will prevent him from getting sick, how much of the spray is actually necessary when using it against someone who is sick? I hope you can understand what I’m asking, oh and just a FYI, he NEVER gets sick, coincidence??? Thanks for your time!!!
