Bob Evans $6 Farmhouse Deals

I’m stuffed.  I just returned from trying out Bob Evans new Farmhouse Deals for the second time.

I seem to have a habit of forgetting my camera the first time, or not liking the way the pictures look, so I end up going back.  (Remember my Chili’s post?  Yeah, I forgot to take pictures!) I’m not complaining.  It’s good food.

So, Bob Evans has these new Farmhouse Deals out on their menu.  They cost $6 each and there are ten different ones:

• Sausage Gravy Breakfast
• Border Scramble Biscuit Bowl
• Chicken-n-Noodles Deep Dish Dinner
• Homemade Meatloaf Knife & Fork Sandwich
• Sausage Biscuit Bowl
• Slow Roasted Turkey Knife & Fork Sandwich
• Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
• Spinach, Bacon, and Tomato Biscuit Bowl
• Two Eggs, Sausage or Bacon and Two Biscuits
• Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo

Between all of my visits, I had a chance to try the Sausage Biscuit Bowl, the Chicken-n-Noodles Deep Dish Dinner, and the Sausage Gravy Breakfast.

My favorite was probably the Chicken-n-Noodles Dinner.

I love chicken and noodles.  When someone says Thanksgiving, I start drooling.  The Chicken Noodle Dinner is:

Our famous Chicken-N-Noodles ladled over a heaping pile of mashed potatoes and a freshly baked buttermilk biscuit.

And it was delicious.  The buttermilk biscuit at the bottom of the bowl really made the whole meal.  It was sitting there soaking in the broth and juices and when I found it lying at the bottom and took a bite, I was in heaven.  The mashed potatoes were wonderful and the noodles were comparable to the ones my husbands grandma makes, which are the best ever!

My daughter mostly loved picking the chicken pieces out.  Funny girl.

My second favorite that I got to taste was the Sausage Gravy Breakfast.

It is:

A bowl of our famous sausage gravy served with two biscuits and hash browns or home fries.

If you’re in the mood for sausage gravy biscuits, these are the ones to try!  I’m not a big gravy person, but every once in a while I will get a craving for sausage gravy biscuits and these were pretty good.  And of course, the hash browns were cooked perfectly with a little crispy goldenness on top.

The third that I got to try out was the Sausage Biscuit Bowl.

This one is:

A satisfying combination of crumbled Bob Evans Sausage, home fries and scrambled eggs in our new tender, flaky buttermilk biscuit bowl. Topped with Bob Evans signature sausage gravy, shredded cheddar cheese and scallions.

It was pretty good, but not as good as the other two.  I think the eggs and gravy mixing threw me off which made it not quite right for my taste buds.  However, my youngest loved eating pieces of the biscuit bowl off of my plate.

Each trip we have made has been a pleasant experience.  It had been a very long time (I can’t remember when) since I had visited Bob Evans.  The wait staff and all employees were friendly and helpful and tolerant of children which is always a plus for me.  They even have a wide variety of sides on the kids menu with the calories per serving listed by it.

My daughter and I decided to expand our waistlines (well, mine…. she is only 4) a little further by sharing a Smiley Sundae.  In her words, “It’s yummy, mom!”
