I’m a lover of comfort foods.  When I’ve had a stressful day, I look to a comforting dinner of some sort.  When it’s cold outside, I love to prepare a warm dish of something comforting.

One of my favorites has always been my dad’s Beef Stew.  Yum! I loved the smell of it cooking and couldn’t wait to dig in to a bowl of it.  I’ve tried to make his version of Beef Stew, but I can never quite get it right.  I’ve tried other recipes, but none are quite like his.

*I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for the Certified Angus Beef® brand. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Recipe Rehab Beef Stew Recipes Showdown

Now, I have never actually seen Recipe Rehab.  We don’t watch much television.  But I wanted to try out the recipes that will be featured on the show this Saturday, the 15th of February.

I thought, maybe, one of these Beef Stew recipes would be a good meal to add to our list of dinner rotations.

The special ingredient for these recipes: Certified Angus Beef® brand beef.  Let me tell you, we switched to Certified Angus Beef® products a year ago and I will never go back.  The quality of beef is unmatched.  You can definitely taste the difference.

We were sent two boxes, each with Certified Angus Beef® and a recipe card to try out. Oh, and a cute apron that my daughter loved!  She helped me make the recipes.

Here are the two recipes that will be featured, and only one of them will be the winner!

Hearty Beef Stew Recipe

So, what did we think?  I think everyone liked the Hearty Beef Stew the best.  I love the bigger veggies in my stew and the cauliflower really added to it!  And the Certified Angus Beef® really made the whole thing come together. However, I did not enjoy sour cream so I took it off the top of mine.

They were both fantastic recipes! (But still not quite like my dad’s.)
