Arby’s NEW Angus Cool Deli Sandwich & Wrap

I pulled into the drive-thru of Arby’s the other day on a mission to try the new Angus Cool Deli Wrap.  I had heard about it but had no idea what it was.  I like trying new things, but I also love my good old regular roast beef from Arby’s.

When I saw a picture of what exactly it was I decided I would get a roast beef as well in case I didn’t like the Angus Cool Deli Wrap.  The description of it is a “top round Angus beef served cool and topped with Swiss cheese, banana peppers, pickles, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato and onion, tangy sub vinaigrette and mayonnaise served in a whole grain wrap.”  It is also available on a toasted Italian-style roll.

A few things I shy away from are peppers, pickles and onions.  mostly  because I haven’t had much experience with them.  But for the sake of this review, I ordered my wrap with everything on it.  I wanted the full experience.  And I had my trusty roast beef as a back up.

My Thoughts

I took the first bite and it wasn’t too bad.  I thought maybe I just hadn’t gotten to the middle where most of the ‘other’ stuff was.  So, I took another bite…and another… then I said to my husband, “this is pretty good, I think I’ll save my roast beef for later.”  I ended up eating the whole thing and enjoying it.  I ate my little roast beef later that evening and it oddly seemed plain.  All of the veggies and toppings on the Angus Cool Deli Wrap helped to spice it up and create a wonderful, tasty sandwich wrap.

The wrap was a refreshing cool lunch on a hot summer day.  And it paired perfectly with my favorite drink, which Arby’s carries, Diet Dr. Pepper!

All of Arby’s beef is 90% lean which is another reason I love eating there.  My family always buys the leanest meat we can.  You can’t beat a healthier and good tasting option like Arby’s new Angus Cool Deli Wrap.  So get out there and try one… on Arby’s!
