This week we were able to see our little girls’ face using 3d ultrasound technology. She looks very similar to my two year old when she was in the uterus.
I’ve done the 3d ultrasound with my last three pregnancies and loved each one of them. The one from 2007 wasn’t very clear so I didn’t include it with these two. But, I love seeing the similarities between them. And I love being able to compare the 3d ultrasound to baby once she comes out.
We usually only get one complete sonogram during the whole pregnancy. I like that the 3d is toward the end of the pregnancy to give this mom some peace of mind that baby is growing well and nothing is wrong.
I’ve actually had two other sonograms with this baby. The first one they weren’t sure whether they could find the third vessel in the cord or not. They only saw a two vessel umbilical cord. But during the second ultrasound, that was ruled out and everything looked fine.
These babies like to keep their mommas worried, that’s for sure.
I have about 10 weeks left and am getting excited. My doula is booked and this will be the first time for me trying natural and using a doula. I am looking forward to it. And especially to holding my squishy little girl for the first time!

So sweet! I wasn’t able to have one with my first, but with the last two we did =) So fun to see them!
I swear the doctors just like to scare pregnant women! Every time I went in they were telling me there was another problem with David. He turned out to be perfect. A little of a mommy’s boy…
If I get pregnant again, maybe I’ll get a 3D this time. I didn’t with the other three. I wanted a natural birth so badly. I had 3 c-sections. Good luck with everything. My doula was wonderful, even though I didn’t go natural.
Aww! Congratulations! I wasn’t able to do the 3D with my kids…though I’ve always wished I could have. The two pictures do look very similar. Especially the noses!
